About Us

The San Antonio Athenians Soccer Club (SAASC) was created in 2016 and played it’s inaugural soccer season in 2017. SAASC is the first women’s semi-pro soccer team in San Antonio and features top players from the San Antonio area and beyond, including amateurs, collegiate, semi-pro and former professional players. Our drive for competitive success on the pitch is only matched by our service to our community. This season SAASC will participate in the United Women’s Soccer League (UWS) in the Southwest Division.

VISION:

SAASC is committed to developing women’s soccer by playing at a high level and investing in the game from the youth level with our Athenians NEXT program to the first team, competing in UWS.

MISSION:

Our mission is to promote, develop, and showcase the talent of our group of extraordinary women as they serve our community and excel on the pitch. SAASC is comprised of a diverse group of front office administration devoting their time and talents to fulfill a passion of growing the game exponentially.
